Accessibility Standards For Customer Service

The Ontario government is creating an accessible Ontario Public Service for employees and customers with disabilities. The goal of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) is to make Ontario fully accessible by 2025.

FSCO is committed to providing quality service to all our clients and customers. We will ensure that our employees are trained on accessible customer service. We will also create a service disruption plan and ensure that accessible channels for feedback are available.

Accessible directions to FSCO

By Subway
We are located at North York Centre station. To exit the station, take the elevator from the platform to the subway exit. At the station exit (which is underground), use the elevator in the Empress Walk building to get to the ground floor (5095 Yonge Street). The Empress Walk elevator is accessible through an underground path which is connected to the station.

Directions:

  • Call the Empress Walk building at 416-910-4754 to make sure the elevator is working.
  • Exit North York station and take the underground path to Empress Walk building.
  • Once you enter Empress Walk, there are elevators located at the entrance of Loblaws. Take the elevators to the ground floor and exit the main doors of Empress Walk.
  • Cross the street to the northwest corner of Yonge Street and Park Home Avenue, where our building is located.

By TTC Bus
Our building is located along bus route 97. The southbound stop is Yonge and Park Home. The northbound stop is Yonge and Empress Walk. Only some of the buses on that route are accessible.

Accessible buses can be identified by the blue international wheelchair symbol on the front side corner of the vehicle, and by the blue lights on either side of the route destination sign above the windshield.

By GO Bus
On southbound bus routes, the closest stop is Yonge & Park Home. On northbound bus routes, the closest stop is Yonge & Empress Walk. For information on the accessibility of specific buses, contact GO Transit at 416-869-3200 or check www.gotransit.com.

Parking
The entrance to the closest car park is located on the north side of the building on Park Home Avenue, west of Yonge Street. Disabled parking is available and elevators to our lobby are located on every level except P5. Parking rates are $3 per half hour up to a maximum of $14 for the day.

Entrance 
The entrance to our office is at the corner of Yonge and Park Home and is barrier-free and accessible.

Elevators
Access to FSCO offices is available via elevators in the lobby.

Reception and Mailroom
Reception is located on the 8th, 14th and 17th floors. The mailroom is located on the 16th floor.

Washrooms
Accessible washrooms are available on all floors. Fully accessible unisex washrooms with distress alarm capability are located on the 14th floor.
